|#4602 Wedding Cake 2012 Postage Stamp
The U.S. Postal Service is reissuing the Wedding Cake stamp, which was first introduced
in 2009 as part of the Weddings series. Sure to add a touch of beauty and romance to any wedding correspondence, this stamp is issued
at the two-ounce mailing rate to accommodate the heavier weight of an invitation. It can also accommodate other mailings such as oversize
cards or small gifts that require extra postage.
Photographed by Renée Comet and designed by art director Ethel Kessler, the stamp
art features a three-tier wedding cake topped with white flowers. The cake was created and designed by pastry chef Peter Brett.
Note about Plate Blocks: Plate blocks number and position will vary with in-stock inventory.
